From my understanding, group term life...Hi iceddd,

From my understanding, group term life is for coverage of death, critical illness and total permanent disability. For personal accident, it pays out in the event of an accident. Example, if you lose a limb or become blind due to an accident, you can claim the personal accident but not the term life insurance. If you have cancer, you can claim the term life (if have critical illness rider) but not the personal accident insurance. In a way yes the term plan ...Hi foolish chameleon,

In a way yes the term plan is offered specially for those who have served ns so its good to take this GTL. However, as mentioned in my post, if we want to take the critical illness rider also, we would need to consider carefully as the premiums are not based on a flat rate. So far this is my analysis of the plan offered. All who had served ns will also be given 150,000 of term and personal accident insurance for free.
