Are you confused on what are the stocks you should invest in? How to find the right ones among the hundreds of companies listed on the stocks exchange? I was playing around with SGX's very own stocks screener called StockFacts and its quite interesting. The screener provides quite a comprehensive screening criteria such as PE ratio, PB ratio, dividend yield, debt to equity and even 5 year revenue growth rate.
I used the below 5 criteria to screen for some stocks listed in Singapore and it returned 29 results. Quite a good selection of stocks to research on it further.
Considered that it is free, it does retail investor a good service. i tested it out before, so far so good.
Are you subscribed to shareinvestor? If you are, how do you find the software? is it more convenient to search there compare to looking through sgx and past 10 yrs of annual report?
Interested to hear about the review of shareinvestor software. I was close to subscription it at one point in time, but didn't pick it up as i am not sure if it can add value to me.
I didn't subscribe to shareinvestor but tried its trial before. I think I got the free trail from some stocks competition some time back. It is definitely useful and makes researching on stocks much easier. We can see the trend of all financials for the past 10 years using shareinvestor instead of looking at annual reports one by one to get the figures. But in the end I still didn't subscribe to it as I enjoyed reading annual reports. Haha.
I just found out SGX stock facts is not just a screener. It provides a five year financial data which we'll be able to see the trend. Now, its really comparable to shareinvestor except that shareinvestor has 10 years data.
I read bout it from drizzt block.. quite a good filter! Giving shareinvestor a run for its money.
ReplyDeleteHi CSCCC,
DeleteWell, i still think shareinvestor is more comprehensive. It has 10 years of financial where we can compare at a glance.

Hi Sgyi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback, much appreciated :)
Some of my friends use goggle finance stock screener, you can take a look also and do a comparison on which one helps you more :D
Hi Solace,
DeleteI used Google finance screener too. But now SGX has its own might as well use it. I think its quite comparable between the both.
Thanks for sharing :)
